Actcell is a company that supports the enhancement of Corporate Value. Together with our partner businesses in 22 countries worldwide, we use vital concepts and methods that are indispensable for a Knowledge-based Society and are collectively known as "Intellectual Capital Management".

Since Actcell's foundation in 2000, we have consistently been conscious of the fact that "a company's Corporate Value can no longer be adequately represented by the Balance Sheet alone." Because of the difficulty in grasping the actual value of a company when this is not fully represented in the balance sheets, "discrepancies in understanding" can occur between the company and its stakeholders, which include the management team, employees, business partners, customers, investors and analysts.

By helping its clients to visualize their company's "Intellectual Capital" - the source of Corporate Value - Actcell can eliminate these discrepancies in understanding and help to continuously strengthen the "Intellectual Capital" of these companies, thereby achieving steady corporate growth.

Actcell has always supported individual businesses, and now we also work in partnership with the investment funds that share the same Vision. We constantly strive to help revitalize businesses and transform the corporate structure to ensure the achievement of "visible results".

In addition, we have worked in cooperation with the public sector, as seen in our collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in devising its Guidelines for Disclosure of Intellectual Assets Based Management. We have also partnered with stock exchanges and provided management consulting for over 250 listed businesses. This has enabled us to be actively involved in activities that create "frameworks for a management model" as a social infrastructure.

Although Actcell started out with just seven former employees from Recruit Co., Ltd. in 2007, many like-minded people from other industries who shared this Vision soon followed suit and joined, and Actcell has come to resemble a community gathering of people with similar interests and goals.

Nonetheless, it is no easy task to achieve the Vision we share, and we have only just taken the first step toward its achievement. Actcell plans to continue recruiting talented people who share these aspirations and who have a high affinity in their working attitude, in order to progress further toward achieving our Vision.
